How Listing Credits work

New Juuhudi members can publish their first five listings free for a limited time. You also receive 50 free Listing Credits to help you continue listing after your free-listing allowance has been used.

What are Listing Credits?

Listing Credits are deducted from your Juuhudi balance when you submit a paid listing for review.

The number of credits required depends on the item’s asking price. Lower-priced items require fewer credits, while higher-priced items require more.

Listing Credits:

• Never expire.
• Can be used whenever you are ready.
• Are only charged when you submit a listing.
• Are not charged while you create or save a draft.
• Do not give Juuhudi a share of your final sale.

You always see the exact credit cost before submitting your listing.

How much does a listing cost?

The category does not determine the fee. The asking price you enter determines the credit band.

For example, a KSh 2,000 book and a KSh 2,000 lamp both require 10 credits, even though they belong to different categories.

What can I do with the 50 free credits?

Your 50 free credits work in exactly the same way as purchased credits.

For example, they could cover:

• Five listings priced at KSh 2,500 or less.
• Two listings priced between KSh 2,501 and KSh 10,000, with 10 credits remaining.
• One listing priced between KSh 10,001 and KSh 50,000, with 10 credits remaining.

The actual number of listings you can publish depends on their asking prices.

When are credits deducted?

You can start a listing, upload photographs, enter its details and save it as a draft without spending credits.

Before submission, Juuhudi shows:

• Your item’s asking price.
• The number of credits required.
• Your available credit balance.

Credits are deducted when you select Submit and send the listing for review.

Every submitted listing is checked by a person before it is published. A submission fee covers this review and listing process; it is not a commission on the eventual sale.

What happens if my listing is rejected?

A rejected listing usually means that something needs to be corrected before it can go live.

Juuhudi will explain the reason by email and in My Listings. You can edit and resubmit the same listing up to two times without paying another listing fee.

If the listing is rejected for a third time:

• It cannot be resubmitted again.
• Credits used for the listing are not refunded.
• A fixable item may be submitted as a new listing, with a new listing fee.
• A prohibited item must not be listed again.

Does editing a listing use more credits?

Ordinary edits are free. You can update photographs, descriptions and other listing details without paying again.

A significant increase in the asking price may move the item into a higher credit band. If that happens, check the cost Juuhudi shows before confirming the change.

Reducing the price does not turn the original listing fee into refundable credits.

How long does the listing fee cover?

A listing stays live for 30 days, unless you mark it as sold or remove it earlier, and you can then renew it for another 30.

When an item sells, mark it as sold promptly so buyers do not keep contacting you about something that is no longer available.

Does Juuhudi charge commission?

No. Listing Credits pay for publishing an item on Juuhudi; they are not a percentage of the sale.

You and the buyer agree on the final price and complete the payment directly. Juuhudi does not deduct a commission from the amount you receive.

For example, if your item sells for KSh 20,000, you keep the KSh 20,000 agreed with the buyer.

How do I get more Listing Credits?

You can buy additional credits through your Juuhudi wallet using M-Pesa.

Credit bundles start from KSh 50. Larger bundles may include bonus credits, and you can also buy a custom amount when you need a specific balance.

Any purchased or bonus credits remain in your account until you use them. There is no recurring subscription and nothing expires.

What if I do not have enough credits?

Your draft remains available, so you do not need to recreate the listing.

Top up your balance, return to the draft and check the displayed listing cost before submitting it for review.

If you completed an M-Pesa payment but your balance has not updated, do not immediately repeat the payment. Check the payment confirmation and follow the delayed-payment steps in the M-Pesa help article.
